Online EMDR & Somatic Therapy for Trauma in Texas
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or like you are self-aware but still struggle to create lasting change, you’re in the right place. I use EMDR & somatic therapy to help you navigate ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, family stress, and relationships.
English & Spanish Telehealth Beyond Talk Therapy
EMDR and somatic practices go beyond traditional talk therapy and worksheets by helping you regulate your nervous system, not just thinking your way through challenges. I use these approaches to support emotional regulation, deepen self-awareness and compassion, strengthen connection, and guide you toward a life that feels more intentional & grounded.

“Healing is superficial and limited when it’s just a theorized concept…but having the lived experience of struggling with the difficulties of healing makes it relational“
I only knew how to exist through achievements, so I achieved. I joined the military and graduated top of my class, went to grad school, and did my absolute best to be the ‘perfect person’. The perfect wife—only to get a divorce; the perfect soldier only to get PTSD; the perfect mother—only to find out that ADHD & PTSD had me so dysregulated that I could not connect with my children; the perfect daughter—only to rid myself of all boundaries at the expense of my needs and wants. Perfection gave me stress & stress cost me. It cost me my physical health, my mental health, and my relationships. Perfection also gifted me anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, irritability, and having unrealistic expectations of myself and those around me.
“Stress cost me. It cost me my physical health, my mental health, and my relationships.”
I don’t guide people through anything I haven’t personally put in the work to understand. Healing is superficial and limited when it’s just a theorized concept…but having the lived experience of struggling with the difficulties of healing makes it relational. I'm an Afro-Latina, Spanish-speaking veteran, mother, and wife living with PTSD and ADHD. . Mental health was not valued in my culture as a Puerto Rican woman, and I didn’t know I had ADHD until after becoming a therapist. The effects of living through trauma and neurodiversity was overwhelming and seeped through both my personal and professional life. It destroyed my relationships, the connection I had with myself, and my ability to regulate and live a grounded life.
Then I learned. I learned to build a life worth living. I went to therapy and, ironically, became a therapist. I was able to heal the wounds that defined me. I also learned how these wounds impacted myself and those around me. I then saw that I was privileged enough to get therapy, and those who need it the most often do not have representation in this field - someone who looks like them, understands them, and has been in their shoes. This is for you—for those who have walked the path of pain and have given up hope; for those who want help but have no idea where to start; for the parent that is spread thin but wants to connect with their children; for those with strained relationships because sometimes... you just can’t, even when you want to.

EMDR and somatic therapies are well-researched approaches that focus on how the brain and nervous system process past experiences. Many clients find these approaches helpful when talk therapy alone hasn’t created the shifts they’re looking for. Effectiveness varies by individual, and we’ll collaborate to determine whether this approach is a good fit for your goals and needs.

My approach is both honest and gentle. I’ll meet you with compassion while also offering thoughtful accountability when patterns keep you stuck. If you’re looking for a therapist who is practical, grounded, and willing to hold you accountable with grace…you’re in the right place.
I bring warmth, curiosity, and humor into our work when it’s helpful, along with lived experience that reminds you that you’re not alone in this. Therapy with me isn’t about being pushed or fixed…it’s about creating a space where insight, nervous system awareness, and real-life change can happen and your nervous system is understood.
Sometimes our work will involve talking, sometimes body-based practices, and sometimes practical problem-solving. We’ll work toward your goals while moving at a pace your nervous system can feel safe with.
